The Campground is now First Come, First Serve. It is rare that all spots would be full. Please fill out a receipt and pay at the campground where there is a drop box.
Rates are $20.00 per night.
Campground is open from May 1st through November 1st (weather permitting)
Pioneer Campground offers pull through sites with electrical and water hook-ups. There is also a bath house with handicap accessibility. A dump station is available on the north side of the bath house. The charge for staying is $20.00 per evening. This gives the camper access to the pool at no charge. Summer pool hours normally run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and then 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (subject to change).
There is also a walking path that circles the pool area and follows along the Vermillion River. The newest addition will also take you to the softball park area.
There are 16 sites: Five pull-through. The remaining are back-in. Some sites are 30 amp, others are 50 amp.
Hungry? Walk or drive two blocks south on 1st Avenue to CJ's at the Wellington for a good evening meal. Check their Facebook page for their weekly specials and hours.

Need Fuel or snacks? Stop at Montrose Gas Plus on 1st Avenue across from CJ's at the Wellington. You can also buy some essential groceries, like milk and bread. Stop in and restock your cooler or camper before you hit the road.
Want to shop for home decor and furniture? Check out Raggedy Ann's on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Main Street. Open Fridays and Saturdays noon to 5:00 or by special appointment. Check their Facebook page for any updates to hours.
